If you are planning to visit the Lanzarote area, then you will want to be aware of the various weather conditions that are to be expected. It is a good idea to look at the extended forecast, just to get an idea of what you can expect while you are there.
Lanzarote is further east than most of the other islands. They have a dry, warm climate, and they only get about 5 or 6 inches of rainfall each year.
The best time to travel to Lanzarote is really up to you. There aren’t many reasons why one season is better than another. They have decent weather year round, even though during February and March they tend to have dusty air due to the calima. If you prefer hotter weather, then it is best to go between July and September, because that is when it is the warmest.
The winter months, from December to February, you can expect to see the temperatures anywhere between 21 and 23 degrees C. This is also usually the time where you see the most rainfall in the area. The winter also is usually cloudy, especially in the southern part because it is shielded by the hills to the North.
The spring months, from March to May, you can expect sunny, warm weather with temperatures between 22 and 25 degrees C. It can really be breezy during this time as well, because of the nearby sea. The summer months, from June to August, are actually similar to the spring months.
The temperatures may get a bit warmer, but it is still tropical and nice. There is also little to no chance of rain. Finally, look at the fall months, from September to November, and you will find that it is really dry and warm still. It doesn’t have the blazing heat, but you still don’t have to worry about rainfall.
